"Thumb Folks" is Mike Tremblay, Tom Schlichting and Dean Barnett.
A trio of musicians with a diverse musical background hailing from Michigan's "Thumb area".
They perform original songs in the folk tradition, traditional folk songs and acoustic songs from the 1920's thru the 1970's.
An eclectic blend indeed.
When listening to a "Thumb Folks" show the Monty Python saying "and now for something completly different" comes to mind.
They will play "Bad Moon Rising", an original song then, right after, play a song by Sippy Wallace from the 20's.
You never know what to expect.
But, you always get thumb thing worth listening to.
Since they began playing together as "Thumb Folks" in 2003 and have played all over the thumb and southeast Michigan. They have put out two CD's and continue to please audiences whenever they play.
