Posterity's Cloud - My Music
 

     Along with listening to music, I like writing my own words and music.  I've written and recorded a lot although, I've never made an effort to do it professionally,  I just don't have the dedication it takes.  I'm more into the creative part of it all.
 
    In December, 2001 I played in public for the first time in over 20 years at a coffeehouse in Lexington.  It was, in fact, my first ever performance "solo" with an acoustic guitar.  Needless to say, I was nervous but, it went pretty good and I've been playing at various "free" shows ever since then.  To see where I'll be playing in the future, go to my "Where I'm Playing" page.

    I did not record any of the first performances (probably a good thing) then, finally, videotaped a couple of songs on March 9, 2002 at the Lexington Coffeehouse.  I converted one song to RealMedia format and it is available for download.  You will need RealPlayer to be able to watch it.  Once you download it, if you do not have it, you will be pointed to a place where you can get it for free (at least in theory).

    I have done quite a bit of recording.  This has been done in various ways and are of varying quality.  I was recording most of my songs with overdubbing and a lot of them with electric guitar.  I released a few of them but, only to friends.  Since I've started playing "solo" I am working out a bunch of songs and plan on going into the studio this fall to make a "real" CD.  For now, I have left a few MP3 samples of my songs up for downloading.
